Carissimi Fratelli del Lazio,
l’approssimarsi della fine del 2018 e la coincidenza con il Solstizio d’Inverno inducono a tracciare un bilancio dell’anno trascorso.
Non mi dilungherò su ciò che il Collegio Lazio ha fatto in questi dodici mesi ma permettetemi di ricordare il convegno sul Fr. Franco Cuomo del 27 gennaio; la Tornata straordinaria del Collegio con la partecipazione del Gran Maestro il 12 febbraio, l’apertura di casa Nathan ai profani per la Giornata della fierezza massonica il 1° marzo; la 
partecipazione ai lavori della Gran Loggia a Rimini di aprile; la decisa difesa di Casa Nathan e del Goi contro gli attacchi esterni ed interni nella Tornata del 29 maggio; la celebrazione del Solstizio d’estate il 21 giugno; la presenza alle celebrazioni del GOI per il XX settembre; ancora a settembre, la partecipazione al restauro del monumento a Garibaldi sul Gianicolo e l’accoglienza a Casa Nathan del Fondo bibliografico intestato al Fr. Mario Sacconi; l’approvazione dei bilanci nella Tornata del 16 ottobre; l’omaggio ai martiri delle Fosse ardeatine il 25 novembre; il convegno su “Solidarietà e percorso iniziatico” il 6 dicembre.
A questi eventi vanno aggiunte le numerosissime iniziative a cui hanno dato vita le Officine di Roma e di tutte le Province del Lazio, che continuano così a mostrare grande vitalità e generoso impegno nei lavori.
Di tutto vi abbiamo dato tempestiva notizia attraverso i nostri organi di informazione: la newsletter Collegio Lazio News, riservata a tutti i Fratelli della Regione, il sito internet goilazio.it, aperto anche ai profani, l’account Twitter goilazionews, con il quale abbiamo potuto spaziare sull’attività di numerose Comunioni massoniche estere.
Da evidenziare, inoltre, la costante crescita del numero dei Fratelli del Lazio in virtù della quale possiamo oggi considerarci tra le regioni italiane a più elevata presenza massonica.
Ma quel che mi preme di più sottolineare, al di là delle rilevanti iniziative in programma per il 2019 e di cui vi daremo tempestiva comunicazione, è la conferma del forte sentimento di unione che lega le Officine e i Fratelli del Lazio. Abbiamo superato anche quest’anno momenti non facili grazie a questo nostro spirito e all’attività continua e proficua del nostro Gran Maestro, al quale rivolgo il mio grato e deferente saluto.
Per l’anno prossimo non vi prometto traguardi irraggiungibili ma il consolidamento di quelli già colti e l’impegno ad una più evidente pratica della solidarietà che ritengo un nostro obiettivo primario, insieme alla continuità del nostro lavoro iniziatico.
